FEBRUARY IS NATIONAL PET DENTAL HEALTH MONTH

BEFORE & AFTER PICTURES OF A DOG WITH LOW GRADE DENTAL DISEASE.

Notice the heavy accumulation of tartar and calculus (green arrow) and resulting
gingivitis (blue arrow). Gingivitis or reddening and inflammation of the gum tissues
allows for more severe levels of dental infection. Early and aggressive dental care,
starting with a professional dental cleaning, is the first step in eliminating dental
infection and preventing more advanced dental disease and tooth loss.
